META-METRICS

PERSONAL WORK | 2015 — 2022 |

Réalisée à partir de photographies argentiques coupées, dupliquées et mises en miroir, la série "Meta Metrics" est née d’une réflexion sur le concept de sy-métrie (avec-mesure, mesurable). Elle met en relation des visuels aux lignes dures, dont les formes en lévitation résolument géométriques donnent une impression d'apesanteur, avec des images distordues dénuées d’angles, sortes de vortex flottants. Dans les deux cas, c’est le sentiment d'un espace infini ou plutôt non-fini donc non- mesurable qui ressort.

Series of cut, duplicated and mirrored analog pictures that were shot between 2015 and 2022 on the occasion of different trips in Europe. The Meta-Metrics series is based on the notion of duplication. Showcasing photographs with curved lines or, on the contrary, hard angles & radical geometry, it brings out the paradox of symmetry - which can be mesured - giving the impression of an infinite or un-finite distorted space - which can't be mesured.
